- In the Polish Economic Society, on October 9, 2017, the winner of this year's edition of the Competition for the PTE Award prof. Edward Lipinski. The prize was awarded to prof. Jerzy Wilkin for the book "Institutional and cultural foundations of management. The Humanistic Perspective of Economics ", published by the Scholar Scientific Publishers (Warsaw 2016).
- The Polish Economic Society awarded PTE Awards in the Competition for the best academic textbook in economics. The jury of the competition, which met on October 9, 2017, awarded two equal first-degree prizes:
- for the textbook "History of Economic Development" (6 volumes), author: Mirosław Bochenek, Scientific Publisher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń 2016,
- for the "Metaeconomics. Issues in the Philosophy of Economics ", collective work under the editorship: Marcin Gorazda, Łukasz Hardt, Tomasz Kwarciński, Copernicus Center Press Publishing House, Krakow 2016.
At the same time, the second prize was awarded for the textbook "Economic dimension of real estate", author: Ewa Kucharska-Stasiak, PWN SA Scientific Publisher, Warsaw 2016.

Economic Dimension, Transaction Costs, Legal Forms of Security, Computerization of the Judiciary." It is published as part of the project "Assessment of the level of effective protection of creditors' rights in Poland in the years 2004-2012 - transaction costs of vindicate rights of contracts” financed by the National Center for Science on the basis of the Decision DEC-2013/09 / B / HS4 / 03605. - November 30, 2017 at the House of the Economist in Warsaw, the debate was held: "INNOVATIVE CITY, NEW DEVELOPMENT PARADYGMATE", organized by the Polish Economic Society in cooperation with the Warsaw Innovative City Chair and the Polish Chamber of Commerce as part of the "Czwartki u Ekonomistów" series of seminars.
The guests of the debate were: prof. Marek Bryx, head of the City of Innovation Department, Warsaw School of Economics, Zenon Kiczka, chairman of the Municipal Economy Committee of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, prof. of the Polish Economic Society. The electing takes place in Warsaw at the XXI National
Congress of Polish Economic Society. Vice-presidents became: prof. Boguslaw

Economic Society took the second place in the "Economicus" competition,
